Pat Lundvall finally responds to King Mo calling her a ‘racist bitch’

On the Lower East Side of New York City, there’s a woman universally regarded as ‘The Angry Dumpling’ lady. Her dumplings are the best in all of Chinatown, and regardless of the gratuitous side of attitude that comes complimentary with every order of fried dumplings, people continue to line up at her front door on Mosco Street. The best advice I could give you is to not to pussyfoot around with your decision making process. Five dumplings cost $1, and the best thing you can do is have the exact amount of cash corresponding to the number of dumplings you want. Speaking English isn’t necessary in the process.

Unfortunately, understanding English is necessary while you’re signing documents for the NSAC, especially when they’re regarding your use of dietary supplements and medications. Pat Lundvall recently came under criticism when she asked King Mo if he was literate in his disciplinary hearing over alleged steroid use. King Mo responded later that day with a tirade on Twitter, deeming her a ‘racist bitch’ and continuing to reassure the public that he is indeed college educated. Regardless of your stance on whether or not this was based on King Mo’s racial disposition, Pat Lundvall had this to say on Inside MMA last night (transcription by MMA Mania).

“I was not upset, and I never considered it to be derogatory. What I was doing was laying the classic or standard foundation for the gentleman to make sure that he understood the form that he was signing, that it was designed to be a truthful statement and that the information he was supposed to put on the form was supposed to be true and correct.”

“From my perspective, I’ve used that standard line of questioning for each and every athlete that has come before us, when their candor on their pre-fight questionnaire has been an issue. On occasion, we do have fighters that come before us, that have indicated their trainers or maybe someone who was with them at the time or a manager has filled out the form — that they don’t read English, that they don’t understand English, which maybe a second or a third language for them. What we try to do is to ensure that, if we’re going to be taking that into account, that they do understand what it is that they’re signing and that they have read it.”

“Mr. Lawal has not contacted me. But, if he did, I would take his call, and I very much would be happy to hear from him. To the extent that you have now informed me of something, I was not aware that he had expressed an apology. I’m thankful that he has, and I wish him the very best and was so happy also to learn in that you just reported that the staph infection in his knee has cleared up.”

We’re fans of King Mo, dumplings, and people not dying of staph infections. Collectively, we all hate racism too. We’re not that different, you and I. The truth of the matter is, a mistake was made, and we don’t care who’s fault it was. We just want this beef between the NSAC and King Mo to get squashed so he can get back to dominating the best light heavyweight fighters in the world. Not sure if the ‘Angry Dumpling Lady’ has plans to move to Vegas, but I’m confident that one taste of her dumplings would calm all this drama and make things right again. She definitely doesn’t speak English though, and the NSAC better watch their tone with her if they want to avoid getting smacked with a spatula.
