Paddy Pimblett is not shy about pumping himself up coming into his next fight.

Since his very first fight in the UFC, Paddy Pimblett has been rising in popularity. He is a fan favorite because of his talent inside the cage and his flamboyant personality outside the cage. Since his very first appearance in the UFC, Pimblett claimed that he would be the next big thing and so far has proven to be just that.

Pimblett has his next assignment right in front of him and believes that he will once again steal the show.

Paddy Pimblett thinks his next fight is the “people’s main event” at UFC 282

Pimblett is all set for his fourth appearance inside the UFC Octagon. This time he will be facing Jared Gordon in the co-main event of the upcoming UFC 282 card. The bout was promoted to co-main after the original headliner Jiří Procházka ve. Glover Teixeira was called off.  This new placing feels right to Pimblett who claims that he is the whole reason the fans will be there at all.

“I was the people’s main events anyway, I was the featured bout and I was watching UFC is the other weekend, it come up the main event and then it wouldn’t even show the co-main, it just come up Paddy “The Baddy” vs. Jared Gordon, feature bout, wouldn’t even show the co-main,” he said in an interview with JOE. “As I’ve already said that arena will probably empty out after I fight. It’ll only be the hardcore fans that stay, people are there to watch me, end of.”

The new main event will be a light heavyweight title fight between Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev. According to Pimblett, not too many people will be interested in that bout. He claims that only “hardcore” fans will be sticking around.

“Because I’m the f–king boy, lad, it’s as simple as that. I’ve said that before I ever fought in the UFC, I knew I’m going to be the new main man, the new cash cow and I’m not talking sh-t, lad, I tell it how it is, it’s as simple as that,” he said. “I am the new main man. I am the new cash cow. We’ve had three fights, three fights on Fight Night cards, and I’m the co-main events of a pay-per-view because they know I’m the one that puts bums on seats and sells pay-per-views.”

UFC 282 takes place on December 10 live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
