One-armed MMA fighter Alexander Karapetyan took on two opponents at the same time in a bizarre fight hosted by the Epic Fighting Championship in Russia.

Karapetyan agreed to face an oddly tough test as he fought Sanya Shyp and ‘Lexus’ at once. The Russian-based MMA promotion has been known to put together unique matchups. In the past, they have hosted a range of peculiar bouts, from a mixed-gender clash between a pornstar and a blogger to a 75-year-old pensioner and his grandson facing a female in another two-on-one contest.

Alexander Karapetyan knocks out opponent

Karapetyan came in the fight at just 57kg and stood at 5’5″, whereas his opponent Shyp weighed 72kg and was 5’6″ tall with Lexus weighing 66kg and being 5’4″.

In the opening round, Karapetyan charged toward Lexus to land a body kick. He followed up with a clean head kick that had his opponent on the canvas. Lexus managed to get back to his feet but was wobbly. After just four seconds, the cageside doctor declared him to be out of the fight

With one rival down, Karapetyan had increased his chances of winning. He attacked the body of Shyp with kicks for the first round as he was unable to use his left hand.

The 29-year-old closed the first two minutes in his favor after landing some leg strikes against Shyp, who seemed to be out of his depth. Shyp continued to struggle to land enough blows in the second round.

Although Karapetyan wasn’t able to knockout Shyp, he went on to win the contest via decision. He displayed a great performance of mixing up his kicks and right hand.

All three participants shook hands at the end of the peculiar showdown.
