Joke’s on you. Not even Google can understand the algorithm ZUFFA uses to remove Strikeforce fighters and place them in the UFC. So far we’ve seen Nick Diaz, Alistair Overeem, Fabricio Werdum and Dan Henderson transition to the UFC (all with success thus far), but guys like Gilbert Melendez and King Mo still remain within Strikeforce. Perhaps ZUFFA is content with the UFC lightweight and light heavyweight talent pool. I don’t have the answers you seek. All I can tell you is that according to Ken Pishna at MMAWeekly, Roy Nelson vs. Fabricio Werdum is going down at UFC 143 for Superbowl weekend.
Big Country vs. Go Horse. It’s like a parody episode of ‘Green Acres.’ If Werdum wins, we’re not sure where this bout will place Vai Cavalo in the heavyweight title picture. However, if Overeem triumphs over Lesnar at UFC 141, then I would be perfectly fine with seeing Alistair Overeem vs. Fabricio Werdum III, Strikeforce Heavyweight Tournament style. [Source]
