It’s not every day you hear a 2-0 fighter say he’d be able to dethrone the UFC Middleweight Champion of the world. But for Bo Nickal, he’d do just on Monday.

The three-time NCAA national wrestling champion has already made some waves early into his MMA career. Nickal would make it 2-0, where he quickly dispatched of Zach Borrega on the Contender Series. He wouldn’t get a UFC contract right off the bat, but Nickal is slated to return to Contender Series on Sep. 27 for one final test before the UFC.

Nickal Would Love To Fight Israel Adesanya

While he does have his next opponent booked, Nickal can’t ignore one ‘dream fight’ he has on his mind… A matchup with current UFC Champion Israel Adesanya.

“Oh, I would love that fight – that’s like a dream matchup for me,” Bo Nickal said on The MMA Hour. “Obviously, with all due respect, (Israel Adesanya) is one of the greatest middleweights of all time, great champion. But I think people say this a lot, styles make fights, so, with that being said, I feel confident in that matchup. I feel very good about it. And I would love to have that fight sometime in the future, that would literally be a dream for me.”

‘Styles Make Fights’

Bo Nickal might be a while away from fighting for the belt, but the credentialed wrestler is confident his style would work wonders against ‘The Last Stylebender’.

“I would be absolutely confident, absolutely confident in that fight,” Bo Nickal said. “That’s a fight – to me again, like I said, styles make fights and I would be extremely happy with that matchup right now.”

Is Bo Nickal biting off more than he can chew? Or is the wrestling champion just that good?
