Nick Diaz is hinting at another exciting UFC return.

Nick wants to make somebody pay

Diaz has not fought since his underwhelming performance against Robbie Lawler at UFC 266 in 2021. However, the 40-year-old MMA pioneer appears to be back in the gym and is even teasing a UFC comeback.

In a recent Instagram post, a seemingly leaner and fitter Diaz showed off his power as he delighted the fans with a short clip of his heavy bag work.

In the caption, the former Strikeforce champion wrote:

“Somebody Is Gonna Pay Very Soon.”

Despite only fighting four times since 2011, Diaz is still evidently loved by MMA fans across the globe. His antics and willingness to engage in an all-out brawl have earned him a devoted following among MMA enthusiasts and it would be no surprise to see Diaz becoming a pay-per-view star once again should he really decide to give it another go.

Diaz was supposed to face Georges St-Pierre in a grappling match last year but it did not come to fruition. Some rumors then swirled that Diaz is being considered for the much-awaited UFC 300 in a legendary rematch with GSP. However, there has been no concrete update about it yet to this very moment.

With Diaz back in training, it only goes to show that he could be up to something. It is yet to be known, though if it would be for one of the highly-anticipated UFC events this year.

Diaz has not tasted victory since beating BJ Penn via decision at UFC 137. He currently holds a pro MMA record of 26-10-2.
