The Heavyweight Bout Between Francis Ngannou And Junior Dos Santos Moved From UFC 239 To The Main Event UFC Minneapolis!
UFC Minneapolis main headliner bout between Tyron Woodley vs. Robbie Lawler scrapped off after ‘The Chosen One’ suffered a hand injury.
But UFC quickly found another solution. According to the ESPN report, the 265-pound match between dangerous Cameroonian boxer Francis Ngannou and the former UFC Heavyweight kingpin Junior “Cigano” dos Santos was originally scheduled for UFC 239 PPV card now it will headline UFC Minneapolis, which is set to go down on Saturday, June 29, 2019.
Junior dos Santos (21-5 MMA, 15-4 UFC) is riding on a three-win streak. He outboxed the former WSOF king Blagoy Ivanov in the main event of UFC Fight Night 133 for a unanimous decision win, and later stopped Tai Tuivasa and super-strong puncher Derrick Lewis via TKO.
Francis Ngannou (13-3 MMA, 8-2 UFC) had ups and downs in his last three bouts. After Derrick Lewis defeated him in one of the worst UFC matches ever at UFC 226, “Predator” literally destroyed Curtis Blaydes and Cain Velasquez in the first minute of the 1st round.
