Nate Diaz ‘Not Excited At All’ To Fight At UFC 230, But Says He’ll Be There

Nate Diaz Says He Isn’t Excited To Fight Dustin Poirier: ‘I’m Stuck In This S—t’

Last week Nate Daiz and Dustin Poirier took to social media to claim they’re fighting for the inaugural 165-pound title in the main event. According to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, UFC head honcho Dana White denied any plans of a 165-pound title fight happening at UFC 230 and called the idea ‘Nutty as hell.’ The UFC does not have a 165-pound weight class. However, it’s been a topic of discussion for a few years in the sports.

With all the confusion and uncertainty surrounding UFC 230 Pay-Per-View event, which’s still without the main event just four weeks out – and Stockton native Nate Diaz’s antics, the obvious question on fight fans minds whether he’ll fight at UFC 230 or not.

As we do know for sure that Nate will clash in a 155-pound bout against worthy contender Dustin Poirier in the co-main event for the first time since his August 2016 bout against Conor Mcgregor, which he lost via decision.

There could be one reason why Diaz is less than enthusiastic to fight at UFC 230 as promotion is giving priority to Conor Mcgregor’s upcoming title bout at UFC 229. (Via BJPenn)

“WE’LL SEE [IF I RETURN AT UFC 230], THE BALL’S IN THEIR COURT. WE’LL SEE. I’M TRAINING TO FIGHT THOUGH, FOR SURE. I’M TRYING TO FIGHT. THEY DON’T WANT DUSTIN POIRIER TO FIGHT AT [165-POUNDS]. I’M LIKE, ‘WHAT THE F*CK?’, ALRIGHT WELL, WHO DO YOU GUYS WANT THEN? WHOEVER WANTS IT COME GET IT. IF THEY’RE (UFC) TRYING TO HAVE ME HEADLINE MADISON SQUARE GARDEN THEY DON’T GOT NOBODY ELSE. BUT THEY DON’T WANT DUSTIN TO FIGHT SO I’M DOWN FOR WHATEVER THEY WANT. ALL COMERS, BRING IT THE F*CK ON. NO LAMES THOUGH.

I’M STARTING A NEW WEIGHT CLASS BECAUSE I HEARD THEY ALREADY WANTED TO DO IT ANYWAY, I’M LIKE LET’S GET IT POPPIN’. NOW THERE’S A RUCKUS, THEY DON’T WANT TO DO 165 I’M LIKE, ‘WHAT THE F*CK? BECAUSE I SAID IT? THAT’S WHAT IT IS?’ ANYBODY WHO WANTS IT AT 165, WE CAN DO THAT BECAUSE I’M TRAINING TO FIGHT AND THEY’RE TRYING TO ACT LIKE I’M NOT TRYING TO FIGHT OR SOMETHING. I’M LIKE, ‘LET’S DO THIS SH*T’. SO ALL COMERS BRING IT ON.

I’M NOT EXCITED AT ALL [TO GET BACK IN ACTION], I’M STUCK IN THIS SH*T. NOVEMBER 3, I’M COMING TO FIGHT, SO WHOEVER WANT IT CAN GET IT.

I am sure Dustin Poirier wants to fight at UFC 230, which is why he signed the contract right.

At least his words clear up the confusion about him showing at Madison Square Garden on November 3, but the mercurial star could change his mind anytime.
