Nate Diaz doesn’t think Jon Jones should have his name mentioned on the list of MMA’s greatest fighters.

The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion has had many great feats in the fight game, but outside of the Octagon… not so much. Jones has had much controversy, featuring multiple run-ins with the law. In addition to his legal trouble, ‘Bones’ was also busted for steroid use more than once by USADA, the UFC’s anti-doping partner.

‘Bones’ Should Be Left Out From The GOAT Convo

Jones is considered by many to be the greatest fighter of all time, but pissing hot has added an asterisk to that statement. That’s an asterisk that Nate Diaz remembers to this day.

Stockton’s UFC superstar says Jones should be shunned from the ‘GOAT’ discussion, given his drug-test history with USADA.

“With all due respect, if you do steroids, you’re (eliminated from the GOAT discussion),” Diaz said of Jones, to ESPN. “If they’re doing that out loud, that’s different. Like, ‘Hey, we’re all shooting steroids’ and then whoop everybody’s ass. Because I’m willing to fight (someone) on steroids. I don’t give a f*ck. Like, let’s all just talk about it. You do steroids, I’ll smoke weed, then let’s get in there and squab. I don’t give a f*ck.

“But you’re sneak-steroiding and then you’re considered? You’re out of the question,” Diaz added. “That whole legacy’s gone and done with.”

Diaz Claims He’s The Greatest Fighter To Ever Grace The Octagon

Speaking of legacy, Diaz later proclaimed he is the greatest UFC fighter ever and that he is the company’s real champion

“I’m a champion of the whole UFC, altogether. And I don’t give a f*ck… I’m the greatest fighter to ever step into the UFC Octagon and still am, still planning on being for the next 15 years.”

We’ll see if Nate Diaz is as great as he says he is at UFC 279 this Saturday, when he takes on Khamzat Chimaev.
