Video: Nate Diaz wins over Chael Sonnen with jokes, wrestling, & Nick Diaz returning talk

Under reported stat? Nate Diaz charming Chael Sonnen on the UFC 241 post-fight show.

UFC 241 was a night where so much was going on all at once. Live on ESPN + you may have missed the post-fight show where Nate Diaz and Chael Sonnen almost became best friends.

Maybe the best moment was Nate Diaz trying call his own fight while Chael Sonnen was doing highlights. It’s hard to surprise Diaz, but watching himself dismantle Anthony Pettis had Stockton’s finest taken aback. Sonnen loved it and really wanted to offer Nate a job with ESPN by the end of the night.

Next up, somehow, someway Georges St. Pierre was brought up in conversation. Diaz was confused as everyone else. This amused the hell out of Sonnen. Diaz talks about GSP and wanders the conversation back to his big brother Nick Diaz returning to the UFC.

Sonnen doesn’t get caught off guard on the mic very often, but the Diaz way has him feeling some type of way.

Here is where Diaz nearly killed Sonnen with his Stockton personality. Nate slapping Chael right in his heart strings. Cejudo brings up Diaz out wrestling Pettis at UFC 241 and this just led into an epic rant.

The Diaz Brothers have never be known for wrestling. Now high level wrestlers are hitting up Nate’s camp and he’s picked up a few things. The Fight Gods would really like it if someone Photoshopped wrestling headgear on Nate.

It’s for the culture.

Sonnen is straight up hypnotized when Diaz talks wrestling. Full on heart emoji eyes being thrown at Diaz courtesy of Sonnen.

“Boy, I got wrestling on accident.”

Let the record show, Nate Diaz being on that D-100 level wrestling is now canon.
