UFC flyweight Muhammad Mokaev will be sticking around the UFC for a while with a new contract.
Over the past year, up-and-coming flyweight contender Muhammad Mokaev has been turning heads. He made his promotional debut in March of 2022 and immediately showed that he was going to be a problem in the UFC 125-pound division. Over the course of 2022, Mokaev was able to rack up three wins and is showing no sign of slowing down.
Now Mokaev has announced that he has signed a new deal with the UFC and will be planning his return later this year in his home country of England at UFC 286 in the O2 Arena in London.

Muhammad Mokaev is on schedule for a return at UFC 286 In London
With three wins in his first three UFC bouts, including two submission wins, Mokaev has put himself in a great position within the flyweight division. He is only 22 years old but is already considered to be a contender for the 125-pound strap in the future. He suffered a shoulder injury recently which required him to undergo surgery but he is healing up quickly and already looking to return to the cage.
The surgery to fix the dislocated shoulder of Mokaev was just four weeks ago. He was unsure at first if he would be able to recover in time for the London event being held on March 18, but the recovery has gone well and he has signed on to face Jafel Filho at that event. Mokaev was born in Russia but moved to England as a child. He has now fought in the UK twice since coming to the UFC, both wins, and is now looking to continue the streak.
Mokaev is currently ranked number twelve in the flyweight division and although his scheduled opponent is not ranked, a dominant performance could see him continue his rise up the rankings.
