Lightweight fan favorite and former world champion Michael Chandler is making headlines after getting into a physical altercation with a 74-year-old man.
It just so happens that the man was professional wrestling legend, Ric Flair.
In a video clip making the rounds on social media, Chandler and Flair are seen getting into a heated confrontation that feels a little too real. However, the jig is up when things turn physical. In the clip, which you can see below, Flair throws a punch which leads to Chandler delivering an open-hand slap before taking the ‘Nature Boy’ down with a double leg.

It was later revealed that Chandler and Flair were just having a little bit of fun. Still, it’s impressive to see Flair taking bumps like that given everything he’s been through in his 50+ year career.
Michael Chandler and Ric Flair Have Worked Together on More Than One Occasion
It’s not the first time that the pair have worked together. Last month, the former Bellator MMA champion was spotted in a commercial for CarShield with the stylin’, profilin’, limousine riding, jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheelin’ n’ dealin’ son of a gun. In the ad, Flair quizzes Chandler on the perks of the product before bailing on him when Chandler gives the wrong answers.
Chandler also paid tribute to Ric Flair by quoting one of the wrestling star’s most famous promos following a first-round knockout of Dan Hooker in his UFC debut in 2021.
“I tell y’all this. This is the greatest moment in my professional life!” Chandler began, before taking aim at the UFC lightweight division’s biggest names.
“Conor McGregor! Surprise, surprise! There’s a new king in the lightweight division! Dustin Poirier! Your time is coming! And Khabib! If you ever do see fit to grace us with your presence back here in the UFC Octagon in your quest for 30-0, you’ve gotta beat somebody. So beat me, if you can! God bless! See you at the top!”
