Michael Bisping: Khabib Nurmagomedov Wouldn’t Get Knocked Out By Floyd Mayweather

Former UFC Champion Michael Bisping Says Khabib Nurmagomedov Would Go The Distance With Floyd Mayweather In Boxing Spectacle

Undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov is making waves since winning over Conor Mcgregor and shortly after called out a fight with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.

Mayweather accepts the challenge and confidently saying that a boxing match between he and UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is actually happening.

Their recent back and forth on social media sure generate a lot of discussion from MMA community as one wonders what would happen if this fight happens.

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping and combat sports astute recently discussed the highly unlikely, and much talked about a possible boxing match between Mayweather and Khabib on his Believe You Me podcast. Bisping believes Mayweather can’t beat Khabib, as ‘Eagle’ isn’t a great striker like Mcgregor but do have a chin and great stamina so he can achieve something that Conor could not. (H/T MMANYTT)

“I swear to god, Khabib would go the distance with Mayweather. He’d go the distance with Mayweather. I’m not saying Khabib is a better boxer than McGregor, he’s not a better striker, he’s not as elusive, he’s not as slick – but he’s got a f–king chin and he’s got cardio for days. And Mayweather, at his age, he was never a knockout guy even though he did have some knockouts. He knocked out England’s very own Ricky Hatton in devastating fashion, but I don’t see it.

“He couldn’t put McGregor down and that’s what Khabib’s saying — you couldn’t put McGregor down, I put McGregor down — but [Mayweather] put McGregor down through fatigue and that was his game plan. McGregor was very, very tired and he started eating shots, and in the end he couldn’t even fight back because he was so exhausted and kind of beat up so the referee stepped in. That wouldn’t happen against Khabib and Mayweather would probably embarrass him and light him up and pick him apart all night long, but Khabib would probably go twelve rounds. Conor wasn’t far away from going twelve rounds.”

But Khabib’s training partner and best friend Daniel Cormier don’t agree as he said Khabib would be schooled by boxing legend Floyd Mayweather if they ever throw down.

There were some who thought Conor McGregor wouldn’t stand long in front of Mayweather, but he played tough and took the bout until tenth round.

Before Khabib resumes his fighting career, he has first to find out what punishment he’ll get from Commission for his role in post-fight melee at UFC 229. The NSAC is expected to make an official decision on October 24.
