Mayhem says he will quit the UFC if he loses to CB Dollaway

This morning I was having a disagreement with someone on the virtues of skype and other video chat apps. I just plain don’t like it. It’s weird and too much like actually engaging in a real life one on one conversation with someone and frankly, I quit all that verbal conversing stuff a long time ago when I realized my social skills weren’t up to par. You have to know your personal limits.

Luckily for me, real life human interaction isn’t a requirement for writing for MiddleEasy so quitting verbal conversation isn’t such a big disruption in my life. I can still wake up and do my job everyday. Mayhem’s situation is a little different. He’s thinking about quitting too, but he is thinking about quitting the very thing that buys him the butter to put on his bread. His job. Last night on MMA Uncensored Live on Spike TV, Mayhem issued himself a pending pink slip for the UFC:

“I’m on my own chopping block. If I lose to him, I’m quitting! I don’t even deserve to be in there! There’s not an easy fight. In the UFC, there’s no easy fight. He doesn’t deserve to be in there with me, and I’ll prove it. I’ll prove it in under a round, because, we see, I tend to get tired in the second round. We’re both in a similar spot in our career I guess. We’re both on the chopping block.”

If he does lose to Dollaway at UFC 146, who knows if he will really go through with walking away. Daddy Dana might not be ready to let him go just yet. [source
