Jorge Masvidal is eager to cash in before he loses the opportunity.

In recent weeks, Masvidal has been campaigning for a fight with Conor McGregor as the pair have been going back-and-forth on social media lately.

While both fighters are on losing streaks, a fight between them would certainly draw a lot as well as put them in a strong position to challenge for UFC gold with a win.

Masvidal, in particular, is hoping to do just that while making a lot of money in the process as he is targeting a November or December return.

He just worries he’ll miss out on the opportunity because of McGregor potentially imploding.

“I think November or December, it’s looking good for me, man,” Masvidal said on the BLOCKPARTY podcast (via MMA Mania). “Before this guy overdoses on cocaine and the fight never happens then I don’t get to make all that easy money, I just want to break Conor’s face.

“Let’s get that paycheck, let’s get that out of the way, sell the most pay-per-views ever before this guy does harm to himself or somebody else. And I just like “boom,” get that check real quick cause I got kids, right? I need the f—king money.”

Jorge Masvidal Interested In Gilbert Burns Fight

Of course, McGregor is not the be-all, end-all for Masvidal.

While the Irishman is his top priority for now, “Gamebred” is also interested in a fight with Gilbert Burns, with the latter being notably eager to fight Masvidal.

“Then after that, I don’t know,” Masvidal added. “Also, if I can’t get Conor, I’m thinking probably Gilbert [Buns]. Gilbert’s a good fight for me. I like him as a fighter because he comes to fight. He’s gonna submit a guy or knock a guy the f—k out. We’re gonna give the fans a f—king bloody fight if that goes down.

“I think everybody will be very happy with that fight so that’s a fight I’d love to make.”

Masvidal last competed in March when he suffered a unanimous decision defeat to Colby Covington. It marked his third defeat in a row.
