According to Tatame.com, newly signed Bellator fighter and former UFC fighter Maiquel Falcao suffered a heart attack during training over the weekend. Falcao fought Gerald Harris back at UFC 123 and was scheduled to fight against Alessio Sakara at UFC Live: Sanchez Kampmann but had to withdraw due to injury. In May he was released fromt he UFC and recently signed with Bellator.
According to Tatame.com and his manager, Marcelo Brigadeiro:
“Maiquel is still on the Intensive Care Unit and might stay there for few more days, when he’ll go through a catheterization. He’s lucid and improving fast.”
