Luke Rockhold Currently Uninterested In Fighting
Luke Rockhold has had a ton of career decline in recent years. As a result, he says that he is currently has no interest in competing right now.
Rockhold is the former UFC Middleweight Champion, and was at one point considered to be extremely elite. However, in the last four years, he has fought just four times, losing three of them. Most recently, he decided to make a move to Light Heavyweight. However, he again lost there, brutally getting knocked out in second round by Jan Blachowicz.
Following this recent string of events, there has been some concern as to what is next for Rockhold. In speaking with ESPN, he explained that the future is uncertain to him right now. In fact, he said that there is one thing that he is certain about.
“I have no interest in fighting right now.”
Furthermore, when pressed, Rockhold confirmed that it is “very” likely that he never fights again. Subsequently, it appears that this could be the end for Rockhold, in terms of fighting. Moreover Dana White offered similar sentiments following his last defeat. While it is not clear cut and certain, the fact that he is having those thoughts, implies that he is already on his way out the door.
If this is the end of road for Rockhold, he has had a solid career. That is not to say that he has no other successful ventures in his life. It is well documented that he has a solid career as a model for several companies.
Nevertheless, it has been a good run for Luke Rockhold.
