Luke Rockhold is eager to punch Mike Perry in the face.

Rockhold is set to headline BKFC 41 on April 29 against Perry in a highly-anticipated bout. It serves as Rockhold’s first fight since he got his UFC release and once he was a free agent, he spoke to many organizations but was intrigued by fighting in BKFC.

“I liked it a lot from the beginning, I was talking to everybody and there were interesting offers everywhere. Bare knuckle there is something so pure about it. It’s the essence of combat,” Rockhold said to Morning Kombat. “It’s wild, it’s f*****g on the rise and something different and it’s also a challenge and it’s Mike f*****g Perry, this little f***** punk that I love to put my hands on… No, there is no history, no history. Mike Perry is just one of those guys you want to punch in the face. I’m sure people feel the same about me, I’m sure he feels the same about me. But, my hands are going to land first.”

Entering the fight, Luke Rockhold knows he will be much bigger than Mike Perry which adds to his confidence heading into the scrap. He also knows he is a much better fighter and is confident he will have his way with ‘Platinum’ in the ring.

“He figured he can transition to this sport and fight a 45-pounder in Julian Lane and lose that fight,” Rockhold said. “You are losing four and five on that fight. This is a different game. You are stepping up to the big leagues when you are fighting me. There is a reason why you never f*****g made it to the top of the game in the UFC.”

Not only is Luke Rockhold excited to put his hands on Mike Perry but he says he plans to disrespect ‘Platinum’ and prove there are levels to fighting.

“Mike Perry is not exactly my cup of tea, you know? I’m going to stay on my side of the West Coast and he can be an East Coast fool. But, I respect him as a fighter, he is a tough kid and brings it,” Rockhold concluded. “I do have respect for that, but otherwise, I will disrespect him in the cage, ring, whatever it may be, Mike Perry will not exist with me in any form of combat.”
