Let's not forget that crazy off-the-cage superman punch Jose Aldo pulled at UFC 156

If the UFC featherweight champion was an adverb, he would be ‘Jose Also.’

You might not agree with the tactics of Superman throughout his reign in the DC Comic universe (or his bizarre choice of fashion), but we can all unanimously agree that an actual ‘superman punch’ has nothing to do with being born on Planet Krypton. If Jose Aldo shot red lasers out of his eyes while simultaneously orbiting the Octagon before he struck Frankie Edgar — then that’s sort of Supermanish. What Aldo pulled off at UFC 156 was spectacular, but definitely not on-par with Superman — more along the lines of Batman. There you go, the Batman Punch. You can thank me later by buying me this Wu-Tang shirt.

In case you missed it, check out Jose Aldo pulling off his spectacular off-the-cage Batman punch which had a final destination on Frankie Edgar’s face at UFC 156.
