Kevin Lee has caught wind of Sean Strickland’s recent callout.
Strickland has accused Kevin’s brother, Keith, of saying, “I don’t like white people,” during a recent interaction. Keith denied that claim, and said that as the conversation with Strickland progressed, he knew he wanted no part of the hoopla.
This prompted Strickland to take aim at Kevin Lee on Twitter. The UFC middleweight had the following to say about possibly meeting Kevin in Las Vegas for a fight outside of sanctioned rules.
“There is a small chance that Kevin Lee might come to Vegas next week to defend his brothers honor,” Strickland wrote. “No rules.. no time limit… No criminal prosecution… I don’t normally feel this level of joy… Man I haven’t cried in years but it’s happening……. thank you Keith Lee.”
Kevin Lee Responds To Sean Strickland
Lee hopped on his Twitter account to fire back at Sean Strickland. “The Motown Phenom” made it clear that he will not be meeting Strickland in “Sin City.”
Not gonna make it. Hate to disappoint but I got something else to do. What you said about Dewey is what got me. Keith told me not to, so keep the hate https://t.co/Qtwml5rFAY

“Not gonna make it,” Lee responded. “Hate to disappoint but I got something else to do. What you said about Dewey is what got me. Keith told me not to, so keep the hate.”
Strickland has been known for ruffling some feathers over his unfiltered personality. It appears he wasn’t able to goad Lee into meeting up with him for a fight outside the confines of a UFC event. How long this beef involving the Lee brothers and Strickland will last remains to be seen.
Kevin Lee recently announced his retirement from pro MMA competition. “The Motown Phenom’s” last pro MMA fight was actually on the same UFC card Strickland headlined. Lee was choked out by Rinat Fakhretdinov in under a minute. Strickland emerged victorious in his bout, stopping Abus Magomedov in the second round.
