- Ex-UFC women’s flyweight Kay Hansen said OnlyFans has been helping her support her MMA career
- The 23-year-old is expecting to make a return as soon as she fully recovers from a hand injury
Kay Hansen is hoping to make a strong MMA comeback following her UFC departure. The 23-year-old has now left the promotion after three consecutive losses but has been able to focus on getting better. That was all made possible by OnlyFans.
A perfect way to stay afloat
Unlike other cut UFC fighters, Hansen isn’t having troubles making ends meet. In fact, she even earns enough money from OnlyFans to fund her training camps. In the process, Hansen spared herself from working regular full-time jobs and just be all-in on honing her game.
Miesha Tate was among those who are not in favor of MMA fighters joining OnlyFans, but for Hansen, there’s nothing wrong as long as it comes in handy for her.
“I feel like a lot of people knock it, and I understand everyone has their opinion, but at the end of the day, it allows me to make the training schedule I want,” Hansen told MMA Junkie. “I don’t have to get another job working a 9-to-5, you know what I mean? So it allows me to structure my camps and focus on what really matters, and that’s fighting.”
Looking for anew in 2023
Hansen is currently aiding a hand injury but insisted that as soon as she fully recovers, the first thing she wants to do in the coming year is to get back inside the cage.
“Right now I have a fractured hand, so I’m waiting on that to heal,” Hansen said. “And once that heals, I’m looking to fight as soon as possible in the beginning of 2023. But I have to make sure my hand is healed before I do that.”
Hansen’s lone UFC victory took place in 2020 when she pulled off a stunning arm bar finish on Jinh Yu Frey. She generated quite a buzz at the time after the queen of arm bar finishes and former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey lauded her.
Congratulations 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 looking forward to seeing more from you! Nice armbar 😉 https://t.co/or5nwIgNgr

Since then, Hansen has never tasted a win and lost via unanimous decision in her last three trips to the Octagon. The latest was at UFC 273 in April against Piera Rodriguez.
