Junior Dos Santos: “I’m Gonna Make Francis Ngannou Look Like A Fragile Little Kid”
Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos and knockout artist Francis Ngannou to meet at UFC 239 pay-per-view event on July 6, 2019, inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dos Santos said he’s aware of Ngannou’s one punch knockout-power but Cameroonian lack skills and techniques and that’s where I edge him out. Former champ thinks he’s a speed, agility, and power to win this fight in a recent interview.
Last year Dos Santos said he’s one win away to get a shot at the championship, so the time is here all he needs is to tilt Ngannou’s ship.
“People forgot because I’m known for my knockout power too,” h/t MMAMania. “I have the speed, I have the ability, I have the power to win this fight, and I will win this fight. Everybody’s talking about his power, about how big he is, but I’m gonna make him look like a fragile little kid.”
Ngannou is coming off a knockout win over former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at UFC on ESPN 1 this past February. Before that, Cameroonian snapped two-fight losing streak after beating Curtis Blaydes via first-round TKO at UFC Fight Night 141 this past November.
Back in 2017 ‘Predator’ shattered the world record for punching power at UFC performance institute and most of his wins came by way of KO or submission.
Dos Santos said everyone is dangerous in this division and I believe in myself that I can finish this guy.
“He’s dangerous, but everybody’s dangerous in this division, everybody has power,” Dos Santos continued. “Man, I’m Junior dos Santos, I believe in myself, I will beat this guy. I don’t take people down. He’s saying that he’s a boxing guy, I see a lot of power, but I don’t see a lot of good technique of boxing. Junior dos Santos can knock anyone out.”
Dos Santos is currently riding on a three-fight winning streak.
