Heavyweight Contenders Set To Clash At UFC 239 On July 6 In Las Vegas

UFC 239 PPV event is pretty stacked featuring two title fights. Earlier today ESPN’s Ariel Helwani reported that promotion is in works to book another intriguing bout between former title challenger Francis Ngannou and ex-UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos.

“Francis Ngannou vs. Junior dos Santos scheduled for UFC 239, July 6 in Las Vegas, according to sources. More shortly. Helwani tweeted”

The two heavyweight contenders previously scheduled to fight at UFC 215 back in 2017, however, the bout failed to come to fruition after Dos Santos tested positive for a banned substance for an out-of-competition drug test.

Dos Santos is riding on a three-fight winning streak and most recently coming off a second-round TKO win over Derrick Lewis. Ngannou meanwhile is also recently earned a crippling 26-second knockout win over former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at UFC Phoenix this past February. Before this victory, “The Predator” melted Curtis Blaydes in 45 seconds at UFC Beijing in November 2018.

UFC 239 is set to go down on July 6 from inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The updated line up for this card is as below:
