UFC women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Pena claims that she recently caught Amanda Nunes trying to spy on her training camp.

Pena was recently interviewed by Yahoo! Sports to preview her upcoming rematch with Nunes this weekend.

During the interview, Pena divulged that she actually recently caught Nunes trying to look in through the glass of her training camp.

“I just make her tick, I know that,” Pena said.

“Because I remember catching her in her van outside of my practice like peering through the windows and it was a long time before we finally realized that we were being spied on and we were like, ‘Hey!’

“And then they turned on the lights and they backed the car up in reverse and they sped away. I intrigue her. I obviously got in her … she’s thinking about me.

“And I think that’s probably what makes her tick, just me in general, I think is enough to make her tick.”

Nunes and Pena initially met back in December. Pena actually handed Nunes her first loss under the UFC banner since 2014.

Throughout her dual-weight reign as both bantamweight and featherweight champion, Nunes looked unbeatable.

In fact, some consider her to be the greatest female mixed martial artist of all time. However, at UFC 269, Pena was able to submit Nunes in the second round to pick up the victory.

Now, Pena reigns as the women’s bantamweight champion, and is looking to prove her victory over “The Lioness” wasn’t just a fluke.

Pena and Nunes headline UFC 277 this weekend on pay-per-view (PPV) from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas this Saturday night.
