- Jorge Masvidal got fans piling up in the middle of a Miami road to get his autograph and take some pictures
- “Gamebred” previously had two altercations with Kevin Holland in Miami
Nothing beats showing up to fight in front of your hometown fans. That’s what UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal has been feeling recently as he takes on Gilbert Burns at UFC 287 in Miami. Ahead of the fight, avid “Gamebred” fans showed him love and support as his team drove around a Miami street, causing quite a traffic jam.
Miami got love for Jorge
As seen in a recent video uploaded by The Mac Life that is now circulating online, a group of people howled as they head towards Masvidal’s Mercedes SUV to get an autograph from the UFC star. The fans were evidently thrilled to have seen their hometown hero in the flesh but some drivers were surely annoyed as traffic started to build up.

Not all were happy with Gamebred
Unlike Masvidal’s fans, UFC middleweight Kevin Holland wasn’t pleased when he crossed paths with “Gamebred” in Miami. As most of us can recall, Holland and Masvidal already engaged in a heated verbal exchange inside the UFC host hotel. And it did not stop there as the pair also had another altercation on the streets of Miami.
Masvidal has been a crowd-favorite since his record-setting five-second KO win over Ben Askren at UFC. He also gained notoriety in the UFC as one of the rawest and toughest guys ever to rise from the streets. Hence, his other moniker “Street Jesus.”
Before becoming a professional MMA fighter, Masvidal used to compete in street fights organized his fellow Miami native and the late Kimbo Slice.
Masvidal will face Burns this weekend and will be coming in hoping to end his three-fight losing skid. A win over “Durinho” is likely to catapult “Gamebred” back to title contention.
