Jorge Masvidal Claims He Would ‘Break’ Jake Paul If They Were To Box

Masvidal believes he would beat up Paul in a boxing match.

Jorge Masvidal doesn’t think a boxing match with Jake Paul would end well for the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

Masvidal and Paul have a unique history as ‘Gamebred’ helped train Paul for his boxing match against Ben Askren as the two did not like Askren.

Since then, the two haven’t seen eye-to-eye and Jorge Masvidal would be open to boxing Jake Paul. However, Masvidal isn’t allowed to as he’s still under UFC contract but says if the bout happens, it wouldn’t end well for Paul.

“I wouldn’t get in there with Jake because the UFC, I’ve talked to them about matches like that. I’m still signed to the UFC and I need to get permission from the UFC,” Masvidal said on The MMA Hour. “But, in a hypothetical world if we are in a boxing sparring session, I break that dude, I break him. He couldn’t handle my pace, my speed, or my power. He could ask his sparring partner for 10 rounds, Nate Diaz about me. Nate will tell his ass, I’ll eat him alive. Done. But, I can’t because I’m signed to the UFC, so it’s not going to happen.”

Masvidal was disappointed in Paul-Diaz

Part of the reason why Jorge Masvidal has so much confidence that he’d beat Jake Paul is due to Paul’s last boxing match against Nate Diaz.

Masvidal thinks the fight was more of a sparring match and he knows what he did to Nate Diaz compared to what Jake Paul did.

“I get with the skill set, they’re not going to be boxers. They’re not going to move like boxers because they’re not boxers by craft either. They could’ve been meaner. That’s why, watching that fight live, I was like, I’m mean for real, bro. A lot of the guys in boxing are mean for real,” Masvidal said.

“I didn’t have that feeling when I left that night. I didn’t feel like they were trying to kill each other, you know? Or hurt each other, or apply the sweet science to its highest mastery. I would hurt those dudes, bro. Like bad,” Masvidal continued. “I was there live, I seen it, man, it’s a different speed. Nate’s seen it, you can ask Nate about the speed. If Jake was having trouble, you know what I’d do to Jake, man?”

Although Jorge Masvidal is confident he would beat Jake Paul, unfortunately, that won’t be happening anytime soon.
