Jon Jones wants to make sure it’s crystal clear that his legacy is superior to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s.

The former UFC light heavyweight king took to Twitter to post an infographic comparing his tenure in the promotion with Nurmagomedov.

Nurmagomedov retired from MMA in 2020 as an undefeated lightweight champion with many having him up there in the GOAT debate.

Some even believe he is the greatest ever.

Jones (repeatedly) took issue with this at the time and seemingly out of nowhere, decided to compare his legacy with Nurmagomedov’s on Tuesday.

“One of my friends text me this, I just figured I would throw it up on my Twitter. Nothing else to say.”

Jon Jones Remains Obsessed With GOAT Debate

The infographic certainly does put into context exactly what Jones has achieved in the sport.

While Nurmagomedov has three title defenses and a total of 13 UFC fights, Jones has 14 title fight wins in the UFC alone.

For most observers, Jones is comfortably above Nurmagomedov in the GOAT debate given his longevity, level of opposition and the fact that he still remains the youngest UFC champion in history.

However, constantly bringing these comparisons and posts about Nurmagomedov doesn’t do Jones any favors except make himself look insecure.

If he really wants to put the discussion to bed with the casuals, winning his highly-anticipated heavyweight debut will certainly help a lot.
