Jon Jones and some online MMA fans shared their mixed reactions to Dana White’s MMA Mount Rushmore.

Speaking to ESPN MMA, the UFC boss revealed his choices for his MMA Mount Rushmore and unsurprisingly, White’s picks were mostly the biggest names in the game.
For White, Jones, Georges St-Pierre, Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor deserved a spot on his list.
“You got to go with Jon Jones. You’d have to go with Ronda Rousey. Women would not be fighting in the UFC if it wasn’t for her. You would have to put [Georges St-Pierre] in there and absolutely, positively Conor McGregor. He elevated and changed the game globally,” White explained.

Fans didn’t like it
Online MMA fans quickly shared their thoughts on White’s selection. As expected, many criticized the UFC chief for snubbing other legendary fighters they believe should’ve been mentioned instead.

Jones defended Dana
Prior to revealing his MMA Mount Rushmore, White has already been declaring “Bones” as the MMA GOAT. Seemingly aware of what fans had to say about White’s picks, Jones was prompted to defend the UFC boss by providing context to his selection of fighters.
“Big compliment from the boss, he’s not talking about the best fighters. He’s talking about fighters who changed the game,” Jones wrote in a story on Instagram.
White has yet to announce the date of Jones’ UFC return against Stipe Miocic. However, he already confirmed that Jones will face Miocic in his return and reports stated it would headline the UFC 309 event.
