- Dana White revealed that there are spots found on his brain possibly due to boxing
- The UFC president isn’t bothered by his health condition
UFC president Dana White has made a shocking revelation about his health.
Dana has spots on his brain
Many are familiar with White as the UFC boss but back when he used to box a lot back when he was younger. Like some fighters, White too may have developed chronic traumatic encephalopathy or CTE, a brain condition common to boxers caused by prolonged head trauma.
“Getting punched in the head, or slapped in the head, or heading a ball, or hitting with helmets in football, it’s bad for you. So as a grown adult living in America, you have the right to choose what you want to do. If you want to play soccer and head a ball, you want to play football from peewee to college and take the head blows that you do, or if you want to go out and professionally fight, there are inherent risks. What I try to do is, I make sure that I spend all the money that I possibly can to take as much risk out of it as possible for the health and safety and the life of the people who compete,” White told TIME.
“I used to box when I was younger. I went in and I did one of those brain studies. I have black spots all over my brain from what I did. I wouldn’t take one back one punch. Not one. The position that I’m in right here, right now, today, I wouldn’t take one punch back because I loved it that much,” he continued.
Dana isn’t afraid of his condition
The outspoken UFC chief further stressed that though his condition seems troubling, he isn’t going to let this hamper him from doing what he wants. White also noted that this has been his approach to life and he doesn’t plan to change it anytime soon.
“And the doctors all talk about, “Somebody could die”—I got news for all the doctors. We’re all gonna die. How do you want to live your life? What do you love and what are you passionate about? People always ask me, what if your daughter wanted to fight? If she really loved it, am I going to tell her no? It’s what she wants to do,” White added.
I did an 86 hour water fast and i feel INCREDIBLE! Obviously i'm not a doctor, but i've been told by the experts that water fasting can help to significantly reduce the risk of cancer, alzheimers and a ton of other health issues. pic.twitter.com/3AOt7n4IFO

White is now 55 years old and it’s safe to say he has been taking care of his body. In fact, he previously boasted his incredible physique following an extensive fasting.
