- Dana White talks about the UFC’s Jon Jones GOAT promo and AI doing the fighter rankings
- The UFC boss shared his thoughts on Alex Pereira’s decision to come down to 185 again
UFC president Dana White is proud about the Jon Jones GOAT promo and AI soon taking over the fighter rankings. He also reacted to Alex Pereira’s plan to return to middleweight.
The boss is happy about Jon’s GOAT status and AI
After repeatedly declaring “Bones” as the rightful MMA GOAT, White involved the UFC media team this time by releasing a Jones GOAT promo. In a recent Dana White’s Contender Series post-fight press conference, the UFC boss was thrilled to ask the media for comments about the said promo.

Moreover, White also voiced his excitement about AI doing the fighter rankings without any human intervention in the near future.
“Did you guys read that stats?” White told the media of Jones GOAT promo. “He recently just beat the No. 1 Heavyweight in the world. Hope you guys read that stat. You know what is f**king great about technology? We’re not far away from AI actually doing these rankings, and it’ll be a great f**king day when AI starts doing this sh*t. I’m really excited about that!”
Alex is a good problem to have
White was also asked to address Pereira’s decision to return to middleweight after his next title defense at UFC 307 to fight Dricus du Plessis. For the UFC president, it’s just one of the reasons why fans adore “Poatan” and so far, it’s not really a concerning issue for the promotion.
“My take on him is, he’s f**king nasty,” White told reporters. “That’s my take on him. He wants to move up. He wants to move down. He wants to go everywhere. That’s why people love him. Those are the type of fighters people love. Pereira wants to fight everybody. I love it.”
“The thing that’s great about it is, this is why I said a minute ago everybody loves him and he’s great. But it also gives us a ton of options that as we’re in matchmaking, ‘Should we do this, should we do that? Shouldn’t we do this, shouldn’t we do that?’ So, I don’t know. It’s a good problem to have with a guy like him,” he added of Pereira.

Both Jones and Pereira are set to prove that they are two of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world. “Bones” will finally face Stipe Miocic reportedly at UFC 309 in November. On the other hand, “Poatan” will defend his light heavyweight title against Khalin Rountree at UFC 307.
