Jon Jones Facing Battery Charges For Incident At Strip Club

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is in legal trouble again. This time it stems from an incident in April.

Jones has been in and out of trouble for a long time. From a DUI to a hit and run incident, he has never been a stranger to controversy. However, the latest chapter in this tale comes from an incident at a strip club in Albuquerque.

According to a report from KRQE News 13, Jones was visiting TD’s Eubank Showclub. last April. It was here, that a cocktail waitress alleges Jones slapped her inappropriately. Additionally, she claims that he pulled her into his lap and kissed her, along with putting her in a chokehold and picking her up. She also told authorities that she told Jones to stop, yet he would not until he left.

Although this event happened in April, it took until now for Jones to become aware of it. According to court records, Jones missed an arraignment hearing in June, so the bench warrant was issued. Apparently, it was already out when Jones faced Thiago Santos, last month.

Upon hearing of the battery charges, Jones immediately took care of the small $300 fine, getting the warrant lifted. Additionally, Jones’s representative James Hallinan issued this statement, denying the allegations.

Today, the media told Mr. Jones about a false accusation launched against him and that paperwork had been sent to an incorrect address. However, after receiving the documents from the press, Mr. Jones immediately went to pay the small fee, and he, and multiple witnesses, stand ready to factually refute the malicious lies being told about him to the public.”

This is just the latest chapter in the long line of troubles Jon Jones has had over the years. Stay tuned to MiddleEasy for more, as the story develops.
