Johnny Walker Is Adamant He’d Kick Jon Jones Out Of The Light Heavyweight Class

Johnny Walker is not scheduled to meet Jon Jones, because “Bones” is slated for another title defense at UFC 239 against Thiago “Marreta” Santos.

Yet, the Brazilian rising 205-pound prospect has definitively set his sights on the bout against Jones. In a recent media scrum, Walker vowed he’d beat Jon and send him packing from the division. (h/t MMAWeekly)

“He chose “Marreta” [Thiago Santos], Luke Rockhold and me for the third option,” JOHNNY Walker said about Jones on Friday. “He chose me for third option because I’ll kick him out of the light heavyweight division.”

Johnny Walker runs on a perfect UFC score of 3 wins and 0 losses. All his victories came via the first-round stoppage. Walker elbowed Khalil Rountree Jr. to sleep at UFC Fight Night 140. Then he destroyed Justin Ledet at UFC Fight Night 144 and Misha Cirkunov at UFC 235.

Jon Jones is one of the most dominant fighters in the history of this sport. He holds victories over many notable names – Lyoto Machida, Rampage Jackson, Daniel Cormier, Glover Teixeira, Chael Sonnen, and others. In his last two matches, Jones stopped Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232 via third-round TKO and outpointed Anthony Smith at UFC 235.
