Jones regained his 205-pound title against formal rival Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232 back in December, and earlier this month ‘Bones’ successfully defended his title after scoring a decision win over Anthony Smith.
Earlier today Jones hint a fight against former heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic seems like it was just a rumor.
Thiago Santos made his UFC light heavyweight debut back in 2018, and since then he’s flying high. Most recently Santos is coming off a third-round TKO win over Jan Błachowicz.
Nunes last fought at UFC 232 in December where she becomes the first women in UFC to hold two titles simultaneously after dethroning Cris Cyborg in 50 seconds. Meanwhile, Holm’s last fight took place in June 2018 at UFC 225 where she scored a decision win over Megan Anderson. “The Preacher’s Daughter” was scheduled to face Aspen Ladd at UFC 235 earlier this month however bout talks fell sideways after contract negotiations failed to come to fruition.
Another intriguing light heavyweight bout between former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold and Jan Blachowicz also add to this fight card last week.
