Joe Rogan was far from surprised when famous internet star Liver King was outed for having an incredibly expensive steroid regimen.
On the latest episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience‘ podcast, the longtime UFC commentator took aim at Brian Johnson, better known as the Liver King. Johnson is an internet celebrity who promotes an ‘ancestral method’ of living to achieve peak physical fitness. Recently, it was revealed in leaked emails that Johnson had a $11,000 per month steroid habit, using performance-enhancing drugs to keep up the physical frame he claimed to get from eating raw meat and living a primal lifestyle.
“I wasn’t surprised at all,” said Rogan. “It completely makes sense but that’s exactly what I expected. There’s no way you can look like that, in your 40s, that jacked, I mean he’s preposterously jacked.”
Joining Joe Rogan on the podcast was Derek from ‘More Plates, More Dates’ on YouTube who shared his thoughts on the recent Liver King controversy.
“Most people could see through it but at the same time, a lot of big names reached out to me when the video came out and they were like, ‘I didn’t think he was natural but this guy literally right to my face would say blatantly I am natural.’ He was lying through his teeth seemingly,” Derek said.
“The problem with this too is that a lot of people will extrapolate this out and then think everyone with a jacked physique must be doing something, which is problematic… I do believe that physique, maybe not that physique but within striking distance of that in 0.00001% of individuals. Liver King has since come clean about his steroid usage.

Following Liver King Controversy, Joe Rogan Wants The Rock to Come Clean
Speaking about the recent controversy surrounding Liver King, Joe Rogan suggested that Dwayne Johnson, known by the millions… And millions of fans around the world as The Rock, should take a page out of Liver King’s book and come clean about alleged steroid use.
“The Rock should come clean right now,” said Rogan. “He should make a video in response to the Liver King video like, ‘I need to talk to you because The Rock’s been lying.’ There’s not a f*cking chance in hell he’s clean, not a chance in hell as big as The Rock is at 50.”
“The point is you can’t even get there with HRT (hormone replacement therapy). That’s not HRT. He is so massive and he’s so different than he was when he was 30.”
Derek added to the conversation, agreeing with Rogan’s assessment of The Rock.
“He’s a genetic marvel as is anyways when he was natural,” said Derek. “So to have all this 30 years later like you’re in better form when you were in your 20s. It’s just f*cking obvious.”
Aside from being one of the most electrifying men in sports entertainment history, The Rock has become one of the hottest acts in Hollywood, appearing in some of the biggest film franchises including his latest role as DC Comics’ anti-hero Black Adam. Johnson is also the co-owner of the XFL, an American football alternative to the NFL which is slated to launch (for the third time) in 2023.
