Since the MMA world has been on idiot autopilot this entire week all, breaking stories will be placed under the ‘Rumor’ section. I can trust MMA news just as much as I can trust my functional alcoholic neighbor behind the wheel of her 1997 Nissan Sentra on a Saturday night. Alright, I advise you to activate your BS forcefield before you read anymore? Alright, activated? Batteries all charged up? It’s being reported that Joe Riggs has dropped out against Nick Diaz in the fight that was scheduled on the Strikeforce: Carano/Cyborg card in August due to a reaction to an ‘undisclosed drug’. Apparently he’s in the hospital recovering and we don’t know if it was a physical or mental reaction.
Mental? I do know (from an accidental first hand perspective) that peyote lasts for upwards of 3-4 days and you can definitely feel slight ‘mental trermors’ up to a week (got to love Arizona shamans). The story says that Riggs will be recovering in the hospital for the next couple of weeks. What the heck is going on in the MMA world right now with fighters and their drugs? It’s known that Nick Diaz burns a few every now and then but not even the finest California haze can sideline someone for two weeks. Joe Riggs must have been experimenting with mutagen, trying to create an adversary for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Maybe Diesel was exposed to gamma radiation and this story is just a front.
If you aren’t in the transitioning stages of becoming either a superhero or a mutant, hope you get better bro (but if you are, let us in on it). [Source]
