Joanna Jedrzejczyk is a surgeon inside the Octagon, and in her UFC 275 rematch with Zhang Weili, she plans to put on a “medical procedure.”

Joanna Jedrzejczyk promising a big performance

Jedrzejczyk recently spoke to MMA Junkie ahead of her rematch with Weili at the UFC 275 pay-per-view (PPV).

The former strawweight queen hasn’t fought since the March 2020 clash with her Chinese counterpart, largely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the result was one of the greatest women’s mixed martial arts (MMA) bouts of all time. When it was all said and done, Weili got the split decision nod, retaining her 115-pound title.

Weili has dropped her next two fights since then, losing both to Rose Namajunas, also dropping the title in the process.

Heading into their rematch, Jedrzejczyk doesn’t believe Weili is the same fighter she was when they first fought in 2020. With that being said, she’s still not underestimating Weili.

“I think that she’s not the same after our first fight,” Jedrzejczyk said.

“Of course I lost, but she’s not the same. But she’s still one of the most dangerous in the division. It’s going to be a hell of a fight.”

While fans are hoping Jedrzejczyk and Weili repeat their performance from the first fight, putting on a back-and-forth violence-filled slugout, Jedrzejczyk is expecting to be more of a “surgeon” inside the Octagon.

The Polish striker plans to make it look like a “medical procedure.”

“It’s going to be medical procedure,” Jedrzejczyk said. “I’m going to be the best surgeon and I will pick the right tools and use them at the right time. Sharp.”
