- Joanna Jedrzejczyk will not hesitate to go five rounds with Zhan Weili inside the octagon once again
- UFC president Dana White is still thinking about the idea
Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Zhang Weili will give it another go at UFC 275 this June. Whether it would be a three or five-rounder is yet to be known but Jedrzejczyk is already thrilled about going for another 25 minutes against Zhang.
For the fans, let’s go!
On her official Twitter account, Jedrzejczyk declared that she would be more than happy to go toe-to-toe with Zhang for another five rounds if that would delight her fans.
“Should be five or not?” Jedrzejczyk wrote on Twitter. “I’m willing to do five rounds for my fans.”

A question for the boss
In her tweet, Jedrzejczyk tagged UFC president Dana White, suggesting that it’s a question for the promotion’s honcho. Interestingly, White has already addressed the matter in a pervious presser.
“Umm, that’s a good question,” White said of whether Jedrzejczyk vs. Zhang 2 should be a three or five-round match in a post-fight news conference. “You want me to make it five rounds? We’ll work on that.”
How important is Zhang vs. Jedrzejczyk 2?
The first match was regarded by some as the greatest women’s fight in the history of MMA. Now that Jedrzejczyk and Zhang will meet again, both former champions are not only fighting for legacy as the winner of the fight will out an end to her skid.
China’s Zhang once had an impeccable run, having gone on an incredible 21-fight win streak which includes her epic title fight win over Jedrzejczyk. After that, she was immediately dethroned by Rose Namajunas and lost again in their rematch at UFC 268.
Jedrzejczyk’s case is somewhat the same as the fighter who still has the most title defenses in the division badly wants to avenge her loss to Zhang and eventually become the champion again.
