Jessica Andrade Slams Her Way To The Title, KO’s Rose Namajunas!
The Strawweight title match between the current 115-pound queen “Thug” Rose Namajunas and dangerous Parana Vale Tudo competitor Jessica “Bate Estaca” Andrade headlines UFC 237 PPV (pay-per-view) event, which is going down live from inside Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil tonight (Saturday, May 11, 2019).
The referee in charge for this title bout is Marc Goddard. Let the war begin! Namajunas has a big height and a reach advantage. On the other side, Andrade probably has the most powerful strikes in the whole division.
Round 1
Namajunas attacks with jabs and goes forward. She moves laterally all the time, Jessica misses with a left hook, Rose delivers a good punch to the head. Good right cross Rose.

Good low kick by Andrade, Rose fires back with a 1-2 combo. Namajunas delivers big strikes, Andrade is too slow for Namajunas.

Fighters clinched up, Rose slammed her with a big knee to the face. Rose goes in for the kill, ends up in the full guard. Now she transits to side mount, attempts a guillotine, but gives up and moves away!
Oblique kick Rose. Left hook Andrade just missed. Andrade misses over and over. Rose delivers a strong knee and a left hook. Great exchange on both sides. Low kick Andrade, countered by Namajunas. The best round on the whole UFC 237 PPV card, 10-9 Namajunas.

Right low kick Andrade, and another one Rose fires back with a punch to the face. Rose moves like a cat, Andrade misses over and over, great left hook counter by Thug Rose. Great straight punch by the champ.
Great combo Andrade, she runs forward, Namajunas moves to the side and counters well. Namajunas fires hard, great right punch. Great 1-2 Namajunas, Andrade misses over and over.
Three punch combo by Jessica Andrade missed. Namajunas ends on the fence but moves to the side. Namajunas shoots in, stuffed, low kick Andrade.
Fighters clinch up but separate almost instantly. 1-2 Namajunas. Andrade runs and presses her against the fence. Namajunas defends with a Kimura attempt.
Jessica Andrade picks Rose Namajunas and slams her head off the canvas. The match is over!!! What a brutal slam to finish the fight! Marc Goddard steps in and stops the match!
