Watch Strawweight Contenders Joanna Jedrzejczyk And Michelle Waterson To Face-Off On October 12!
It was recently confirmed by the UFC that a fight between strawweight contenders Joanna Jaedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson will be the main event of UFC Fight Night 161 (a.k.a. UFC on ESPN+ 19) which takes place from inside the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida on October 12, 2019.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk (15-3 MMA record) is a former UFC strawweight champion who has recently competed in the flyweight division unsuccessfully, recently suffering a defeat via decision to Valentina Schevchenko for the flyweight title. She has lost 3 out of her last 4 fights.
Michelle Waterson (17-6) on the other hand, has won 3 out of her last 4 fights. So, this will be a big fight for both with the intention of hopefully earning a title fight.
Mackenzie Dern and Amanda Ribas are also fighting in the strawweight division, while Tim Elliott and Deiveson Figueirido will be featured in a flyweight bout. There will also be a light heavyweight fight between Ryan Span and Devin Clark at UFC Tampa.
But the headline bout between Joanna Jaedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson is a very important one for the future of either fighter! And it’ll be exciting to watch on October 12 in Tampa at Amalie Arena.
