Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill has been offered a plea deal, per TMZ Sports.

Hill was arrested back in late November 2023 following an alleged altercation with his brother, James Hill Jr. Hill is facing domestic violence charges following the incident. Court documents reveal that James had a swollen face and a missing front tooth. James says the tooth broke as a result of Hill giving him a “sucker punch” following a series of arguments over Thanksgiving weekend.

Now, a plea deal is on the table and it’s up to Hill and his legal team to accept or decline.

Jamahal Hill Offered Plea Deal

A follow-up report from TMZ Sports claims court documents have revealed Hill is being offered a plea deal. Part of the proposal would see Jamahal Hill plead guilty to one domestic violence charge, but the aggravated domestic violence charge would be dropped. It’s expected that the former 205-pound king will make a decision on the plea deal by a March hearing.

Hill has been recovering from a torn Achilles injury. He was forced to vacate the UFC light heavyweight gold as a result. While Hill is the rightful challenger to Alex Pereira, who won the title after he stopped Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295, it’s unknown much longer “Sweet Dreams” needs to recover.

UFC 300 looms and many rumors have been swirling in regards to potential matchups. Alex Pereira’s name has been thrown out there in the rumor mill for the UFC’s biggest event of 2024. Of course, it’s all just fan speculation at this point, but one has to wonder when Hill will be fully ready to get back inside the Octagon and try to take back the championship he was never defeated for.
