Jake Shields has come under fire once again after suggesting that trans allies should be publicly executed.

The former Strikeforce middleweight champion has become known for his controversial opinions and right-wing extremist views on social media. In recent years, Shields had taken aim at the transgender community, or as he calls them, “the alphabet people” and their allies. In a recent string of tweets, Shields offered up another disgusting take, questioning whether or not transgender community allies should face public execution for offering their support.

“Would you support public executions of anyone who helps a child transition? This would include doctors, therapists, teachers, guidance counselors, etc,” Shields said in a since-deleted tweet

“Things are being pushed to such an extreme that the cure is likely going to be just as extreme.”

Responding to the tweet after its removal from the platform was transgender mixed martial artist Alana McLaughlin.

“It’s great that one openly genocidal tweet from Jake Shields has come down but what about this nearly identical one from February?”

It is unclear which tweet McLaughlin was referring to in her response as it appears it also has since been deleted, but we can only assume it was as equally vile as the above tweets suggesting public executions for people that support the simple human right to be who you want to be.

Jake Shields Has Taken Aim at Alana McLaughlin on More Than One Occasion

Alana McLaughlin was at the forefront of the transgender athlete debate following her pro MMA debut in 2021 under the Combate Global banner. Scoring a second-round submission over Celine Provost, many individuals, including Shields, were upset that a trans woman was allowed to compete against a biological woman, believing that it resulted in an unfair advantage and set a dangerous precedent for other professional sports.

Two years later, the subject is still a hotly debated topic with some suggesting that trans athletes should be limited to competing in their own category. No matter which side of the argument you fall on, there is little need for the aggressive nature in which Jake Shields approaches the subject.

“This is the ‘woman’ MMA fighter that they just allowed to beat up a girl in Florida,” Shields tweeted. “So brave of ‘her’ to transition then live ‘her’ dream of beating up women.”

When he’s not keeping himself in the news with his ignorant views on the LGBTQ community, Jake Shields is also known to bully people in person, so long as he has an entourage of allies surrounding him. In December, a viral video showed the former Elite XC titleholder attacking recently released UFC standout Mike Jackson at the promotion’s performance institute in Las Vegas. The altercation was the result of Jackson allegedly calling Shields a “nazi” on social media. Shields was banned from the UFC PI shortly after.
