Adesanya vs. Whittaker 3 is 'inevitable', according to Dan Hooker.

Israel Adesanya will cross paths with Robert Whittaker once again… at least that’s what Dan Hooker thinks.

The UFC Middleweight Champion would go the distance in his rematch with Whittaker. After a very close fight, ‘The Reaper’ wouldn’t reap any scorecards for him. Adesanya would get a unanimous decision win in what seems to be a controversial one.

A Third Fight?

Following the result, Adesanya and even UFC boss Dana White weren’t exactly interested in immediately running it back with Rob. However, Whittaker believes a trilogy is ‘inevitable’ given his performance. Adesanya’s teammate Dan Hooker shows the same sentiment.

“After a performance like that, [it] sets up a third fight down the road, without a doubt,” Hooker told Submission Radio. “Rob showed that himself is on another level from everybody else in that division. So, he’ll definitely get a couple of wins and be back in the title picture for sure.”

It wouldn’t be the first time Whittaker has had to climb his way back to a title shot. After getting styled on by ‘The Last Stylebender’ the first time, the former champ would go through a murderer’s row of opponents. He’d clear out 3 top contenders, beating Darren Till, Jared Cannonier and Kelvin Gastelum.

‘It’s Inevitable’

Hooker believes after doing the gauntlet again, he’ll meet his rival Adesanya in another fight. ‘Hangman’ also has reason to think the two are ‘head and shoulders’ over everybody else at 185.

“Israel is my brother. And then outside of that, I want to, I want nothing but a success for Robert. Israel is the champ. I feel like Rob is head and shoulders over everyone else. I feel like Rob has got such a long career ahead of him that it’s kind of inevitable that fight will take place at third time.”
