Holly Holm isn’t sure what to make of the Ronda Rousey rumors, but she’s open to a UFC rematch.

Holm is gearing up for her UFC Vegas 77 main event bout against Mayra Bueno Silva this Saturday night (July 15). The action will be held inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. A victory for Holm would be her second in a row. As for Silva, she’s trying to extend her winning streak to four.

While a win for Holm wouldn’t be shocking, the question of what’s next becomes a little foggy. With rumors swirling around of a UFC return for Rousey, it’s led some to look at that rematch as a possibility. Holm scored a second-round head kick knockout against Rousey back in 2015.

Holly Holm Opens The Door For Ronda Rousey Rematch

During a media scrum ahead of UFC Vegas 77, Holly Holm was asked about rumors of a Ronda Rousey return to the UFC. Holm didn’t seem entirely sold on the rumor, but she made it clear that a rematch is something she’d be interested in.

“You know, I don’t know if she’ll really come back,” Holm said. “Who knows if it’s just talk. I know she’s a very competitive person. There’s a reason why she was an Olympian and a reason why she was a champion for so long. So, I would absolutely revisit that fight.”

Holm stopped short of being too excited over the rumors. She pointed out that “Rowdy” has a lot of movement going on in her own life.

“We’ll see if she comes back,” Holm said. “I know she’s been pretty busy with her life. Whatever she wants to do the more power to her, but if she comes back that’d be great to fight again.”

MMA journalist Ariel Helwani recently reported that the Ronda Rousey rumors are not true. Reports have claimed that Rousey is gearing up for another hiatus from WWE.
