Champ vs. champ? Jamahal Hill is all for it.

Hill Has Shown Interest In Fighting Pereira Before

Before capturing the UFC Light Heavyweight title at UFC 283, Hill quite a few fighters on his radar. One of the names on Hill’s potential hitlist of opponents was actually middleweight king Alex Pereira, a teammate of Glover Teixeira, who Hill just beat.

‘Sweet Dreams’ dreamt of putting Pereira to sleep last November.

“The only thing that interests me is like they tell me [Pereira] might come up. Come on in my boy!” Hill told Middle Easy. “Whenever he decide. Oh yeah! I can go up there and f*ck him up. Come on in my boy! All that smoke! All that. I was there I watched it live. All respect to Izzy but I’ll knock Pereira the f*ck out.”

‘What About Knocking Me Out?’

It might have taken a few months but Pereira finally caught wind of the champ’s comments.

“I heard Prochazka was injured,” Pereira replied to Hill’s recent message to Jiri Prochazka. “What about knocking me out?”

Hill Responds To The Challenge

Hill would hit back at Pereira’s challenge on Wednesday.

“What’s popping?” Hill responded to Pereira on The MMA Hour. “What’s popping? Like we can get that, we can get that cracking. If you wanna come on up and try his luck with that, come on in. I’m not ducking [anybody]. I’m not scared of nobody, bro. And I take very seriously the challenges. It gives me extra incentive to f*ck you up.

“I said ‘I think I knock him out’— and I do. I mean, hey, like I didn’t say, I said that. He feels some type of way about it. Show me. I’m in the show me business.”

While he’s definitely interested in facing Alex Pereira at some point, the newly crowned champ has made it his first priority to fight Jiri Prochazka in July or August.

“There’s no fight I want more than that fight,” Hill said of potentially facing Prochazka. “I think I knock him out.”
