Here is the Thompson/Pudzianowski match in all its glory

What an interesting weekend for MMA. Bellator season 4 wraps up, Dan Severn falls short of the century mark and KSW supplied us all with another Matt Lindland unconscious on the mat moment, only to be topped off by the Mariusz Pudzianowski/James Thompson bout that in my opinion should have been guest refereed by Bob Sapp. ‘Pudz’. An awesome nickname for a man who has biceps the size of my head. That said, here is the fight in all it’s glory:

We have come a long way since thinking that the worlds strongest man could use that power of his to out technique even medium level opponents, but at least he is going out there and trying to get better. If he can make the 265 limit I wouldn’t mind seeing him in the next Bellator heavyweight tournament. And props to Thompson who got his second win this year after going winless since 2007 before that. Dude changed my life when he fought Giant Silva at PRIDE Shockwave 2005 and he is one of two men (Mark Coleman the other) to defeat both Don Frye and Dan Severn. Mustaches and polish people are afraid of this man.
