- Gilbert Burns opened up about his accusation that Conor McGregor kicked out one of his teammates who is originally a contestant at The Ultimate Fighter Season 31
- “Durinho” will ensure Michael Chandler will knock “The Notorious” out
Gilbert Burns is not angry at Conor McGregor for allegedly kicking out his teammate who is one of contestants of The Ultimate Fighter Season 31. However, “Durinho” fancies seeing Michael Chandler beat the living lights out of “The Notorious.”
This guy is my teammate!

This freaking Conor bring his own guys and they kick him out! 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ Not Fear! pic.twitter.com/qQ0JXspn75— GILBERT BURNS DURINHO (@GilbertDurinho) February 18, 2023
Power can do certain things
Speaking to Submission Radio, Burns revealed how he learned that McGregor has decided to remove Loik Radzhabov from the TUF 31 roster. The Brazilian said it’s sad because Radzhabov fights like Justin Gathje but he also understands that “The Notorious” was just savoring the perks of being a UFC superstar.
“He brought two or three of his own guys and I mean I don’t know exactly what happened but he just put his guys in he took a couple guys out and Loik was one of the guys that went out and I don’t know everyone that is in there but I know like he’s a two times PFL finalist… he’s not that famous but he fights like freaking Justin Gaethje. The guy is a highlight reel,” Burns began.
“He was very happy we would talk to him in the group chat… they even took his own phone because he was getting like quarantine I don’t know they were putting everybody in the room, took all the phones and he just said, ‘Oh goodbye guys I’m getting to the house right now.’ Everything is okay… and then a couple days later, ‘Oh, I’m gonna be back home, I might come back, I don’t know they just kicked me out.’… I guess when you have power you know you can do a couple things,” he continued.
“If you’re Conor McGregor, you do the same maybe but put yourself on Loik’s shoes, if you were there you’re sure, you’re ready, you pass all the trials… you’re there for your own shine, you got kicked out so I don’t know. You gotta try to put your shoes on both sides you know and kind of understand so I was just a little bit sad for Loik and I hope he get a contract with UFC soon,” he added.
Gilbert wants to see a KO
When asked about his thoughts on the TUF 31 season finale bout between McGregor and Chandler, Burns came clean about wishing “Iron” Mike could score a knockout win over the Irish MMA star.
Burns added that he’ll do “everything with his power” to help Chandler get the better of McGregor.
“I think that’s a tough fight for Michael. I don’t think it’s an easy fight but I hope that Michael knock him out very bad. I never hope that to no one you know but I hope Michael gets a good win. I don’t want to wish nothing bad for Conor… he’s two times Champion, help to change the sport, he didn’t make the right choice sometimes but it is what it is but I just hope Michael wins and I’m gonna do everything with my power to help Michael to get prepared and I hope Michael gets to finish,” Burns said.
Burns will face fellow welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal at UFC 287. Both fighters will hope to secure a dominant win and possibly get another crack at UFC gold.
