Get ready for on-demand UFC events on your Xbox 360

LOL Playstation 3 owners. While you continue to be trolled and hacked by the Playstation Network, Xbox owners across the planet get to enjoy UFC fights streamed in an on-demand fashion, similar to how ESPN 3 on the 360 operates. Just moments ago, Dana White walked on the podium of the E3 videogame trade show to shine a little light into the hearts of everyone that chose Xbox over Playstation 3. Here’s an excerpt from 1up.com who is currently at the event.

Microsoft also announced a new IPTV service as “live television comes to Xbox 360” this year. Launching later this year, it will allow things like sports, news, and local channels to be watched live, and all of them are “just a voice search away.”

UFC president Dana White came on stage to talk about how great it is to be a UFC fan. A video showed the ability to watch UFC fights on demand in an ESPN3-like fashion, along with the ability to choose which fighter you think will win.

There’s still no mention of the cost of this new service or if Xbox 360 can also be used to stream live PPV events. Hopefully we’ll see the entire Pride FC archive combined in this package of technological awesomeness. [Source]
