I wouldn’t be able to put all the reasons why Pancrase 276 was awesome in this space. You need some sort of highly dense, information crystal for that. Perhaps even a black hole storage system for data which science may invent in a far, distant future. Unfortunately, that’s not here yet so I will only be able to tell you one reason why Pancrase was cool as hell: Garo the Golden Knight.
Somebody cosplayed as GARO for a Pancrase event. Hold that heavy breathing https://t.co/CURqMfmOuM pic.twitter.com/ZBiRVPWKjN

For those unfamiliar, Garo is a character in a Japanese live action TV series that fights demons called “Horrors” to save humanity and restore his armor to its radiance. It all seems like a darker version of Power Rangers. Garo’s latest task though? Showing up at Pancrase being badass and to promote Official Pancrase Garo Coffee!
Seriously fucking Goldar just walked out and tried to sell us coffee

Garo wants to prevent the evil entity infestation breaking in from the other realm, but also wants to make sure you’re watching Japanese MMA in a caffeinated state. Personally, I think that’s commendable considering everything he’s got on his plate so he’s got my support. If that encourages more armored spirit warriors to show up at MMA events then that’s just a bonus.
Watch Garo in his glorious golden battle entrance here.
