  • Francis Ngannou is certain Stipe Miocic has what it takes to beat Jon Jones
  • “The Predator” thinks “Bones” will realize that heavyweight is tougher that light heavyweight

As UFC 295 approaches, it is becoming clear to Francis Ngannou that Stipe Miocic will get the better of Jon Jones in their highly-anticipated heavyweight title match. For “The Predator,” “Bones” is about to realize that heavyweight is different from light heavyweight.

Stipe’s style and experience will get the job done

Speaking to Shak MMA, Ngannou predicted that Miocic’s fighting style and experience in facing the best heavyweights in the world would be his edge over Jones. The former UFC heavyweight champ also noted that while “Bones” is undeniably the 205-pound GOAT, things would be tougher for him in the heavyweight division.

“It would have to be Stipe. Stylistically,” Ngannou predicted. “Stipe, I fought Stipe twice and I think Stipe doesn’t have the credit he deserves. Obviously, I won the second time, still I know that I could have lost that time… He fought DC [Cormier] three times and you can see how he fought.”

“And also, this is a different weight class for Jon Jones. This is heavyweight and I think it’s slightly different than light heavyweight. I agree that Jon Jones is the best in the light heavyweight but I think in the heavyweight, he will definitely get some challenge,” he added.

Ngannou vs. Jones is still a possibility

As it stands, Ngannou’s hands are full as he is set to face Tyson Fury in a super boxing match this weekend in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On top of that, “The Predator” will be making his much-awaited PFL debut next year.

Nevertheless, Ngannou believes that at some point, a fight between him and Jones will finally take place.

Ngannou vs. Fury is just days away from happening. The ex-UFC champ has been confident that he could KO “The Gypsy King” despite their massive difference in terms of boxing experience. On the other hand, Fury is also not worried about Ngannou’s knockout power.
