Francis Ngannou will be making his big-screen debut in the ninth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise
Ngannou seemed happy to share the information about his acting debut.

The role that Ngannou will play in regards to being a hero or villain remains to be seen. If speculation were to build from past UFC stars, Ngannou would most likely be portrayed as a villain in the series.
The Fast & Furious franchise is no stranger towards bringing in athletes.
Especially athletes in the UFC. Both Ronda Rousey and Gina Carrano have made appearances in the films. In both cases, The UFC stars worked as villains in an attempt to take out the heroes of the franchise. In addition to Ngannou, the series will also bring in WWE superstar John Cena. How it all fits together? We have no idea… but stay tuned to the film for more.
Ngannou is managed by Creative Arts Agency. CAA is one of the most influential agencies in Hollywood. Other athlete clients include Christiano Ronaldo, Peyton Manning, and NBA newcomer Zion Williamson.
The brand of Francis Ngannou is on the rise.
In addition to securing the Hollywood role, “The Predator” is also riding a 3 fight win streak. Ngannou has finished Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez, and Junior Dos Santos respectively all via KO inside one round. While Ngannou is hellbent on getting another title shot, the stars seem to be aligning perfectly for him to leap into popular culture.
If Francis does well in his role and captures the UFC’s heavyweight championship, he will set himself up for years of financial success. There’s also room for the brand to expand into other sports, which fans want to see. Not bad for a man who survived extreme poverty growing up in a village in Cameroon.
What do you think of Ngannou’s announcement? Do you think its good for his career? Or, do you think it takes him off focus for his championship aspirations?
